Chew Ker Yee
Vice President, Business Operations

Trained as an architect Ker Yee left the building industry to join the innovative family business in 2001. With over 13 years of experience in Wangi, Ker Yee is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Wangi’s strategy, team and operations. Ker Yee’s primary role is to maximize Wangi’s growth and profitability, while leading and managing business and organizational changes. Ker Yee’s responsibilities include: strategy execution, human capital management, Lean manufacturing, marketing, and business development and alliance management.

Ker Yee is trained as a 6 Sigma black belt by Motorola University.


Chew Ker Wan
Vice President, Engineering and Operation
BEng ( Hons ), National University of Singapore
Ker Wan joined the company in 1999. With over 14 years of manufacturing experience in Wangi, Ker Wan is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of Engineering, Quality control, Manufacturing, Supply chain and Technology development. He plays a key role in planning and implementing strategic initiatives, to ensure the overall operational effectives, in the delivery of excellent and cost competitive products to Wangi's customers.

Ker Wan is a trained as a 6 Sigma green belt, and is well verse in Lean manufacturing.


Khoo Tian Poh
Engineering and Process Manager
BEng (Hons) (Chemical), National University Of Singapore
Tian Poh manages Engineering and Process improvement in Wangi. Tian Poh has more than 16 years of manufacturing and engineering experiences. He specializes in the area of optics manufacturing. Prior to joining Wangi, Tian Poh has 6 years of experience in Edmund Optics as its Process Manager and 2 years of experience as a Senior Process Engineer in Sony Precision Lens. Before Sony, he has 5 years of working experience working as a Process engineer in Thales Electro-Optics.

Tian Poh is trained in 6 Sigma green by Sony. Together with Ker Wan, Tian Poh manages and provides day-to-day leadership to Wangi’s core team of expert engineers and technicians.


Chia Li Teck
Operation Manager, Shanghai
BEng (Hons), Saitama University
Li Teck joined Wangi in 2003, with 16 years of manufacturing experience working in a Japanese manufacturer. At Wangi, He drives the business and financial performance for the Shanghai business unit. His plans direct and control all manufacturing activities including product management, engineering, and lean Manufacturing. Besides manages all day to day business requirements, Li Teck is also the driving force behind growing the client base in China.

Li Teck speaks fluent Japanese.


Soh Kim Leng
Project Manager
BEng (Hons), Nanyang Technological University

Kim Leng is responsible for management of technical projects, for all product development. Kim Leng leads projects involving internal and external research partners. Prior to Wangi, Kim Leng began his career as a mechanical design engineer in the R&D department of Philips Tuner factory, and subsequently took on the role of Chief Engineer in NXP Semiconductors and NuTune. Kim Lim Leng has over 16 years of experience in product development, manufacturing, and project management.


Dr Cheah Li Kang
Member of Technical Staff

Dr Cheah’s institutional knowledge, operational and technical experience enables him to assist Wangi on the implementation of new technologies and products.

Dr Cheah has authored and co-authored more than 30 journal papers and 20 conference papers related to diamond like carbon thin film deposition and characterization with vacuum related technology. Dr Cheah has more than 16 years of industrial experience which includes: Centre Manager to spearhead R & D and Business Development in electronics industry for SIMTech, CTO of Nanofilm, and GM of Jinya Electronics, Tianjin (a USD 2 billion revenue EMS).

Professor Hang provides guidance and leadership for Wangi in areas of disruptive innovations and technology management.

Professor Hang Chang Chieh is the Head, Division of Engineering & Technology Management, Faculty of Engineering, NUS since 2007. He completed a 3-year full-time secondment as Executive Deputy Chairman of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research from 2001 to 2003. In the National University of Singapore, he served in various positions from 1977 to 2000, including being the Vice-Dean of Engineering, Head of Electrical Engineering and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (1994-2000). Prior to his academic career, he worked as a Computer and Systems Technologist in the Shell Eastern Petroleum Company (Singapore) and the Shell International Petroleum Company (The Netherlands) from 1974-1977.
